Good Morning Jackson Middle School! Today is Thursday, December 14th, and these are your morning announcements:

Your weather forecast for today is mostly cloudy with a high of 28.

Today’s menu is Spicy Chicken Sandwich, Mac & Cheez-Its, Green Beans, Tossed Salad, Fruit Choice, and Milk.  

Smoothie King tickets will be on sale today during lunch periods for $3.00 and the flavor is Banana Berry Treat.  

Coding Club meets on Friday. 

The spirit competition is going strong! Mrs. Lindberg´s homeroom is still in the lead. Trailing slightly are Ms. Otte and Mrs. Beard tied for second place! It could all change today! Jax may be making the move to a new homeroom! Don’t forget Friday is character day. Dress up as your favorite movie character or character from a book.  

Student council would like to remind all homerooms that next Wednesday is the door decorating contest judging! The theme for this year is winter spirit. Tim Bits are on the line for the winning homeroom-- so start planning!

Student council would like to remind everyone of the afternoon pep rally today. Homeroom teachers if you could take a minute to remind students of assembly expectations that would be great! Also as a reminder we are on a PM schedule. 

Yearbook applications are in the office in case you missed the informational meeting. Applications are due Monday, December 18th! 

The Jackson wrestling team continued their undefeated streak last night defeating Columbus Academy 72 to 18, and defeating Norton 64 to 24. Picking up wins on the night were Slade Waller, Regan Mitchell, Jake Schreck, Triston Beane, Cole Stevens, David Jordan, Chase Ellis, Xavier Rose, Tony Carrillo, Francesca Lanese, Blake Korth, Olivia Yocum, Parker Sayre, Gavin Kirk, Brayden Benson, Brady Swinsinski, Wade Petty, and Cassius Kulp. Many of the wrestlers went 2 and 0 on the night. Go Jags!

Good Luck to the Basketball Teams tonight against Hilliard Weaver. The Girls will play at home and the Boys will travel to Hilliard. 

Hey Jackson! Tomorrow is the last day to bring in items for the gift drive sponsored by NJHS. Please bring all gifts to the cafeteria as soon as you arrive tomorrow because the fire department will be here to pick them up during first period. Thank you all for your participation in this activity.

Good Morning Jackson Middle School! Today is Wednesday, December 13th, and these are your morning announcements:

Your weather forecast for today is mostly cloudy with snow showers and a high of 34.

Today’s menu is Big Daddy’s Pizza, Chef Salad w/Bread, Cheesy California Blend, Carrots w/Dip, Fruit Choice, and Milk.  

Smoothie King tickets will be on sale tomorrow during lunch periods for $3.00 and the flavor of the month is Banana Berry Treat. 

Attention actors and actresses tonight is the night for Alice in Wonderland auditions. They will be held today and Thursday from 4 to 6 in the ERC. Go to your locker and get what you need to take home and fill from the back of the ERC. Please bring your scripts and permission form to auditions with you. If you did not get a permission form you may fill one out at auditions tonight.    

Coding Club meets on Friday. 

Jax may be headed to a new homeroom soon!! Mrs. Lindberg´s homeroom is currrently leading the spirit week contest!! But Miss Otte´s homeroom is on her heels. Remember tomorrow is JMS spiritwear day. Good luck to all homerooms!

Student council would like to remind all homerooms that next Wednesday is the door decorating contest judging! The theme for this year is winter spirit. Tim Bits are on the line for the winning homeroom-- so start planning if you haven´t done so!

The 7th grade boys basketball team defeated Upper Arlington Hastings last night 36 to 31. The Jags played a tremendous second half, outscoring the Bears 22 to 12. Leading all scorers was Campton Williams with 12 points. Other scorers include Daniel Fetty with 11 points, Trevor Mills with 6 points and Zac Tschirhart added 4 points. The Jags play on the road again tomorrow night at Hilliard Weaver. Good game Jags! 

The 7th Grade Lady Jaguars lost last night to Upper Arlington Hastings 26 to 24. The Jags were led in scoring by Kayla Jones with 12 points, Hannah Rutan 5, and Olivia Keeney with 4. The Jags play Thursday versus Hilliard Weaver.

The 8th Grade Girls Basketball team won their 4th game of the season last night, by beating Upper Arlington Hastings at home. Final score being, 31 to 23. The Lady Jags were trailing by 2 at half-time, but had a strong second half. Outscoring UA by 10 points in the final 2 quarters. Strong team defense held UA to 0 points in the 3rd quarter. Alissa led all scorers with 13 points, Andrea had solid 8, Reganne and Samantha both had 4, Olivia had 3, and Belle sank a free-throw. Emma and Rebekah provided strong perimeter defense to help secure the victory. Great team win Lady Jags. NO PRACTICE TONIGHT. Beat Hilliard on Thursday! 

Good Luck to the Wrestling Team tonight at their first home match of the season against Norton Middle School.

Good Morning Jackson Middle School! Today is Tuesday, December 12th, and these are your morning announcements:

Your weather forecast for today is cloudy with snow showers and a high of 25.

Today’s menu is Bosco Sticks w/Marinara, Burrito w/Meat & Cheese, Refried Beans, Tossed Salad, Fruit Choice, and Milk.  

The ERC will be closed all periods today. Again the ERC is closed today.

Attention actors and actresses are you interested in being in the school play? Auditions for Alice in Wonderland will be held Wednesday and Thursday from 4 to 6 in the ERC. Good Morning Jackson Middle School! Today is Monday, December 11th, and these are your morning announcements:

Your weather forecast for today is mostly cloudy with snow showers and a high of 36.

Today’s menu is Chicken Drumstick w/Roll, Cheeseburger, Mashed Potatoes & Gravy, Tossed Salad, Fruit Choice, and Milk.  

Attention actors and actresses are you interested in being in the school play? Auditions for Alice in Wonderland will be held Wednesday and Thursday from 4 to 6 in the ERC. Stop by Mrs. Penrose’s room for a permission slip that must be signed by you and your parent or guardian and turned in the night of rehearsals.  

Student council would like to announce the start of spirit week! Please ask your student council representative about the upcoming events that you can participate in prior to winter break!! The homeroom with the highest participation in spirit week will be the winner of “Jax” the Jaguar!! Please refer to the list of spirit days for this week posted in your homeroom!

Mrs. Diehl and Ms. Elder need to see student council head reps in room 221 during homeroom this morning for a couple of minutes.

Do you like taking photos? Are you creative? If so, yearbook might be the club for you. Mrs. Haack and Ms. Otte will hold an informational yearbook meeting today, December 11th from 4-4:30 in the ERC. We will need pictures from spirit week this week so start taking photos!

Teachers please make sure to pass out interims during homeroom.

Good Morning Jackson Middle School! Today is Friday, December 8th, and these are your morning announcements:

Your weather forecast for today is partly cloudy with a high of 34.

Today’s menu is BBQ Chicken Flatbread, Grilled Cheese Sandwich, Tomato Soup, Tossed Salad, Cheez Its, Fruit Choice, and Milk.  

Attention Drama Club we will be meeting today from 4 to 5:30 in the ERC. Please bring your Alice scripts with you.  

Attention actors and actresses are you interested in being in the school play? Auditions for Alice in Wonderland will be held Wednesday and Thursday of next week from 4 to 6. Stop by Mrs. Penrose’s room for a permission slip that must be signed by you and your parent or guardian and turned in the night of rehearsals.  

Congratulations to the 7th grade lady Jags as they improved their record to 3-1 by defeating Pleasant View. Leading the Jags was Kayla Jones with 13, Olivia Keeney with 6, Hannah Rutan and Deajah Berry with 4. Also scoring for the Jags was Makenzie Mcgowan, Sela Anderson, Cam Vawter, Cassidy Daugherty, Bre McFarland each with 2 points. The team defense once again led the way as PV did not score until late in the 3rd quarter.  Great Job Ladies.

The 8th Grade Girls Basketball Team won last night at home, by beating Pleasant View by 27 points! Final score being Lady Jags 36... PV 9. Alissa led the way with 9 points, Belle and Reganne both had 8 points, Andrea had 7 and Emma had 4 points. Nice job Lady Jags with your 3rd win of the season. Next practice after school on Monday.

The 8th grade boys basketball team beat PV last night 32-30. Top scorer was Ben Wehner with 14 points. Next game is Tuesday a UA Hastings.

The 7th grade boys defeated Pleasant View last night by a score of 38 to 25. The Jags got off to slow start and found themselves down at half 19 to 17. However, in the second half the team stepped it up defensively and shut down the Panthers 21 to 6. Leading the way in scoring for the Jags was Campton Williams with 15 points and Daniel Fetty with 9 points. Zac Tschirhart, Daniel Fetty, and Aeneas Reynolds put in strong defensive performances. The Jags improve to 3 and 1 on the season. Way to go Jags!! 

ATTENTION WRESTLERS! Practice will end at 5:30 tonight. Please let your parents know as soon as possible

Good Morning Jackson Middle School! Today is Thursday, December 7th, and these are your morning announcements:

Your weather forecast for today is mostly cloudy with a high of 34.

Today’s menu is General Tso’s Chicken w/Rice, Chef Salad w/Muffin, Cheesy Broccoli, Carrots w/Dip, Fruit Choice, and Milk.  

Attention Drama Club we will be meeting tomorrow from 4 to 5:30 in the ERC. Please bring your Alice scripts with you.  

Student council representatives that were not able to attend the meeting last night, please see Mrs. Diehl and Ms. Elder in room 221 immediately following announcements. Student council members, please remember to share your information of upcoming events with your homeroom students this morning.

The Jags wrestling team continued their undefeated streak last night, defeating Finland 63 to 25. Winning for the Jags were Slade Waller, Regan Mitchell, Jake Schreck, Braxton Sheets, Cole Stevens, David Jordan, Dylan Stephens, Xavier Rose, Tony Carrillo, Gavin Kirk, Brayden Benson and Olivia Yocum.  Great job wrestlers!

Good Morning Jackson Middle School! Today is Wednesday, December 6th, and these are your morning announcements:

Your weather forecast for today is partly cloudy with a high of 39.

Today’s menu is Tony’s Pizza, Super Nachos w/Tostitos, Corn, Tossed Salad, Fruit Choice, and Milk.  

Attention Drama Club we will be meeting this Friday from 4 to 5:30 in the ERC. Please bring your Alice scripts with you. If you were not at Drama Club last Friday and would like to read the script ahead of time please get one from Mrs. Penrose in room 203.  

Attention Jackson Student Body! NJHS is having a clothing drive ending this Friday, December 8th. The homeroom with the most items collected will be awarded breakfast. The items of greatest need are socks, underwear, and pants for Kindergarten through 2nd graders.

Student council members:  You have a meeting today after school in the ERC from 4-5pm. Please make sure your parents know to be here at 5 to pick you up. Mrs. Diehl and Ms. Elder need to see the following students for a few minutes following announcements in room 221-----Brooklyn Tompkins, Victoria Rodriguez, and Seita Beretay.

The 8th Grade Girls Basketball Team battled hard and played tough all 4 quarters to beat Hilliard Memorial at home by 4 points. Final score being 38 to 34. Nice team win Lady Jags! The coaches are very proud of your effort. Alissa Schiff had a dominating performance with 17 points and 5 rebounds, Reganne had a solid 8 points with 5 rebounds, Andrea combined for 6 points and 5 rebounds, Belle had 4 points and Ellie chipped in  3 before she got hurt. Olivia anchored the defense and had 4 big rebounds. Emma, Sam and Rebekah provided valuable minutes to help secure the victory. Congrats 8th Grade Lady Jags on your 2nd win of the season!
