Good Morning Jackson Middle School! Today is Tuesday, October 17th, and these are your morning announcements:

Your weather forecast for today is sunny with a high of 64.

Today’s menu is Bosco Sticks w/Marinara, Burrito w/Meat & Cheese, Santiago Refried Beans, Tossed Salad, Fruit Choice, and Milk.   

Attention NJHS members: our next meeting is tomorrow at 8 a.m. in the cafeteria.

Coding club will not meet this week. Please come next Friday the 27th instead. 

Hey, JMS Robot Warriors, aka Robotics Club members! Due to meetings and the DC trip, Robotics Club will not meet again until Thursday, November 2nd. No Robotics Club this week or next week. We have our challenge kit ordered and on the way, so when we return on November 2nd we can begin to get ready for our first competition! Again, no Robotics Club until November 2nd!

Attention any 8th grade girls interested in trying out for basketball this season. Coach Dollins is having an open gym this evening from 7:00-8:30 PM for 8th grade girls only. 

Attention 8th grade football players: you are invited to the last freshmen football game on Thursday, October 19th. You will get into the game for free and a chance to meet the coaches.

Good Morning Jackson Middle School! Today is Monday, October 16th, and these are your morning announcements:

Your weather forecast for today is partly cloudy and much cooler with a high of 60.

Today’s menu is Chicken Drumstick w/Roll, Cheeseburger, Mashed Potatoes & Gravy, Tossed Salad, Fruit Choice, and Milk.   

The ERC will be closed all periods today. Again the ERC is closed today. 

Attention NJHS members: Please check your school email for information on our next meeting, which will be this Wednesday at 8 a.m. in the cafeteria.

Coding club will not meet this week. Please come next Friday the 27th instead.

Student council would like to announce the winner of the Spirit Week Competition! With an average of nearly 90% participation Miss Otte’s homeroom is the winner!!  Congratulations-- Jax the Spirit Jaguar is yours… until the next competition! Student Council would like to say a special thanks to everyone who participated last week!

Good Morning Jackson Middle School! Today is Friday, October 13th, and these are your morning announcements:

Your weather forecast for today is a mix of sun and clouds with a high of 76.

Today’s menu is BBQ Chicken Flatbread, Grilled Cheese Sandwich, Tomato Soup, Tossed Salad, Cheez-Its, Fruit Choice, and Milk.  

Any FB player who is not in P.E. should take their Lock off their locker. Mr Lucas will cut them off at the end of the 9 week period. 

Attention NJHS members: Please check your school email for information on our next meeting, which will be Wednesday, October 18th at 8 a.m. in the cafeteria.

Attention Drama Club members, dont forget tonight is Drama Night from from 4 to 5:30.

ROAR cards are passed out by teachers who catch students in the act of living up to our ROAR ideals at Jackson. The more cards you have entered, the greater your chances to win! The following students have demonstrated that they are Respectful, Optimistic, Accountable, and Resilient. When your name is called, please come down to the office for your reward.

Good Morning Jackson Middle School! Today is Thursday, October 12th, and these are your morning announcements:

Your weather forecast for today is mostly cloudy with a high of 70.

Today’s menu is General Tso’s Chicken w/Rice, Chef Salad w/Muffin, Cheesy Broccoli, Carrots w/Dip, Fruit Choice, and Milk.  

Don’t forget tomorrow is the last day of Spirit Week and the theme is favorite jersey day.

Currently Miss Otte’s homeroom is smokin’ everyone!! Good luck to all homerooms!!  

Smoothie King tickets will be on sale during lunch periods today for $3.00 and smoothies will be passed out tomorrow. The flavor this month is Angel Food.

Any FB player who is not in P.E. should take their Lock off their locker. Mr Lucas will cut them off at the end of the 9 week period.  

The Jackson Gymnastics Team made up of Ashley John, Makala Stroud, Emma Claypool, Mimi Shaw, Morgan Waterman, Gracie Smith and Natalie Foltz placed first last night at the Middle School District meet in Marysville with a team score of 140.725. There were 12 teams total in the competition so this was a very special win. Jackson Gymnastics now has the official title of the 2017 Middle School District Champs!  

With 85 competitors, placing in the top 10 was no small feat and we did have some top 10 finishes to celebrate in addition to our team win.

On vault, Mimi Shaw placed 5th
On bars, Emma Claypool placed 10th, Morgan Waterman placed 6th and Mimi Shaw placed 5th
On beam, Makala Stroud placed 9th, Emma Clayppol placed 8th, Mimi Shaw placed 5th, and Morgan Waterman placed 3rd
On floor, Morgan placed 6th.
In the All Around Mimi placed 6th and Morgan placed 5th.

A special night for a special team!

Good Morning Jackson Middle School! Today is Wednesday, October 11th, and these are your morning announcements:

Your weather forecast for today is cloudy with scattered showers and a high of 72.

Today’s menu is Tony’s Pizza, Super Nachos w/Tostitos, Corn, Tossed Salad, Fruit Choice, and Milk.  

Since all fall sports are wrapping up their seasons Student Council wanted to congratulate them on their hard work! This week will be spirit week!! Please listen for the themes for the rest of the week!!

Thursday- Jackson Spirit (wear Red and blue)
Friday- Favorite Jersey Day

Good Morning Jackson Middle School! Today is Tuesday, October 10th, and these are your morning announcements:

Your weather forecast for today is partly cloudy with a high of 78.

Today’s menu is Breaded Cheese Sticks w/Marinara Sauce, Fiestada Pizza, Deli Roasted Potatoes, Tossed Salad, Fruit Choice, and Milk.  

Attention 7th graders that have 5th period lunch:
Please return from lunch to your studyhall more quietly. Classes that are going on are being disturbed on a daily basis. Please do not find yourself being invited to an after school detention for poor behavior. Thank you!

Attention all 7th grade boy candidates for basketball:
The first open gym will be after school today from 4-5:30. There will also be an open gym on Wednesday from 4-5:30. Bring appropriate clothes to participate. Look for other open gym dates and tryout dates posted in the upstairs hallway. If you have any questions see Mr. Townley.

The Jackson Gymnastics Team placed 1st at their meet over the weekend against Tri-Valley and all 3 of the Hilliard middle school teams. It was our most competitive meet and our Jackson team did amazing!  

Some top 6 finishers..
On vault, Mimi Shaw and Morgan Waterman tied for 3rd place
On bars, Mimi Shaw was 4th and Morgan Waterman placed 1st
On beam, Natalie Foltz placed 6th, Makala Stroud placed 3rd and Morgan Waterman placed 2nd
On Floor, Gracie Smith placed 6th, Emma Claypool placed 5th and Morgan Waterman placed 4th
In the All Around, Mimi Shaw placed 6th and Morgan Waterman placed 1st

They are poised and ready to take on their last meet of the season this Wednesday in Marysville. It is our district championship meet. Go Jackson!

Homeroom teachers - in your email you will find a spreadsheet to record your spirit wear percentages. Homeroom reps and alternates can help with this! The homeroom with the overall highest spirit wear percentage at the end of the week will be the winner of Jax the Spirit Jaguar! Currently, Mrs. Lindberg’s homeroom is in the lead!! Good luck to all homerooms!!
