Good Morning Jackson Middle School! Today is Friday, February 23rd, and these are your morning announcements:

Your weather forecast for today is cloudy with rain and a high of 60.

Today’s menu is Garlic Parmesan Flatbread, Grilled Cheese Sandwich, Tomato Soup, Tossed Salad, Cheez-Its, Fruit Choice, and Milk. 

If you are an eighth grade girl interested in participating in High School soccer, please join the team for their first Parent/Player meeting of the year on Tuesday, February 27th at 7:00 P.M. The meeting will be held in the Grove City High School Library. The meeting will go over expectations for the upcoming season, answer any questions players or parents have about the program, and you will also receive your summer schedule.

PTSA is sponsoring a Glow in the Dark Dance Party today from 4-6pm. All students are welcome and tickets will be on sale during lunch periods today for $3.00.

Room 210 hopes that you learned about our friend Eli who is fighting leukemia. Today is your last chance to get an “Orange for Eli” bracelet. They will be sold at lunch for 50 cents each. Teachers can stop by Mrs. Haack’s room to get theirs. Thanks for helping us honor our friend. We hope today you’re wearing Orange for Eli.

We want to wish luck to the members of Spark of Class. Tomorrow they compete at Grove City High School at 12:40. Awards are at 6:45. Admission is $10. Come support the show choir as they “Spark it up” at Grove City High School tomorrow.

8th Grade Homerooms: Please collect the favorites survey and turn them in to Miss Otte or Mrs. Haack’s mailbox

SPRING TRACK IS JUST ABOUT HERE!!!!!! If you are interested in participating in track here at Jackson Middle School, please join the team for the Parent/Player meeting on Tuesday, February 27th at 6:00 P.M. The track meeting will be first, with the Drug, Alcohol, Tobacco, and Citizenship meeting to follow. The meeting will go over schedule, uniforms, pay to participate fees, physicals, and answer any questions players or parents have about the track. Also, please sign up on the Athletic Director’s door near the office. 

In addition, if you are going to participating in track this coming Spring, you MUST pick up an information sheet prior to the Parent/Player meeting next Wednesday. The sheet can be found in Mr. Bowers’ room, Room 106. Again, the information sheet MUST be picked up prior to the Parent/Player meeting next Wednesday, and it can be found in Mr. Bowers’ room, Room 106

Attention Ski Club members: Mad River is closed on Saturday, so there will be no Ski Club.

Attention 7th graders wanting to go to Washington DC - The meeting has been rescheduled for February 28th. Doors to the gym open at 6:00 in order to pick up important information with the meeting beginning at 6:30. 

Attention Cast and Crew of Alice in Wonderland Monday’s rehearsal is for everyone. I repeat Monday’s rehearsal is for Cast and Crew! If you cannot attend please see Mrs. Penrose in room 203 or one of the student directors. Remember there is no rehearsal tonight due to the school dance.

Robot Warriors: If you haven’t turned in your competition permission slip to Mrs. Walters or Mrs. Stephens, we need that NOW! 

Attention NJHS Members: Please check your email for an update on our letter writing activity. There are some important changes that you need to know about.  

Hey Homeroom teachers! You should have receieved your “Notes of Kindness” envelope this morning near your computer-- please make sure your homeroom students get their notes if they received them. Student council hopes you enjoy them! 

ROAR cards are passed out by teachers who catch students in the act of living up to our ROAR ideals at Jackson. The more cards you have entered, the greater your chances to win! The following students have demonstrated that they are Respectful, Optimistic, Accountable, and Resilient. When your name is called, please come down to the office for your reward.

Good Morning Jackson Middle School! Today is Thursday, February 22nd, and these are your morning announcements:

Your weather forecast for today is cloudy w/rain showers and a high of 46.

Today’s menu is General Tso’s Chicken w/Rice, Chef Salad w/Muffin, Broccoli w/Cheese, Carrots w/Dip, Fruit Choice, and Milk. 

If you are an eighth grade girl interested in participating in High School soccer, please join the team for their first Parent/Player meeting of the year on Tuesday, February 27th at 7:00 P.M. Today’s menu is Breaded Cheese Sticks, Fiestada Pizza, Deli Roasted Potatoes, Tossed Salad, Fruit Choice, and Milk. 

If you are an eighth grade girl interested in participating in High School soccer, please join the team for their first Parent/Player meeting of the year on Tuesday, February 27th at 7:00 P.M. Your weather forecast for today is partly cloudy with rain and a high of 35.

Today’s menu is Maple Glazed French Toast w/Turkey Sausage, Breakfast Sandwich, Tater Tots, Slushie, Despicable Me Grahams, Fruit Choice, and Milk. 

Attention Future Greyhounds: to keep up to date on important meetings for Fall sports for next year make sure to check the athletic website @ www.gchsgreyhounds.com. Pre season parent meetings, open gyms, conditionings and try outs will all be posted.

Just a Friendly Reminder: We will not, under any circumstances, accomodate students bringing in food for large groups of friends. While an individual student may have lunch brought to them, going forward, any student who has lunch brought in for anyone other than themselves, will be DENIED.

Mrs. Haack’s homeroom will be selling orange bracelets to show our unity to fight Leukemia and Lymphoma starting today during lunch. Please bring 50 cents to purchase yours. We are honoring our friend Eli Bogner, a five-year-old Grove City boy and future JMS student who is fighting Leukemia. Wouldn’t it be great if everyone at JMS wore orange for Eli?

Coding club meets tomorrow.

Attention Future Greyhounds: to keep up to date on important meetings for Fall sports for next year make sure to check the athletic website @ www.gchsgreyhounds.com. Pre-season parent meetings, open gyms, conditionings and try outs will all be posted.

Today’s menu is Big Daddy’s Pizza, Chef Salad w/Bread, Cheesy Vegetable Blend, Carrots w/Dip, Fruit Choice, and Milk. 

The ERC will be closed 1st, 2nd, and 3rd periods today.  

Alice in Wonderland rehearsals are from 4 to 6 today and Friday.
