Good Morning Jackson Middle School! Today is Thursday, October 18th, and these are your morning announcements!


Your weather forecast for today is sunny with a high of 53.


Today’s menu is Chicken Patty, Fiestada Pizza, Deli Roasted Potatoes, Broccoli w/Dip, Fruit Choice, and Milk.  


Monday, October 22nd is the last day to turn in spirit wear orders so please get your order turned in to the office so you don’t miss out!


Student council would like to remind everyone that Socktober starts at the end of the month October 29th through November 2. We are asking homerooms to bring in new socks to donate to those less fortunate this winter. Donations will go to Volunteers of America here in Grove City. During Socktober week, we will have a contest to see whose homeroom can collect the most socks. The winning homeroom will receive a special treat in addition to Jax the spirit jaguar! Student council reps if you need a box for collection, let us know. Good luck!


8th grade Washington DC tip #3: make sure to have snacks and water on the bus with you each day. That way you can have a quick bite on the way to our next destination. Remember, drinks have to be in closable containers and no dairy on the bus. Bus 5 is peanut and tree nut free.


It is time for all Football players and Volleyball players and Cheerleaders to clear out their lockers in the locker room. Coach Lucas will be removing the locks next week, please do that today or Monday.

Good Morning Jackson Middle School! Today is Wednesday, October 17th, and these are your morning announcements!


Your weather forecast for today is a mix of sun and clouds with a high of 52.


Today’s menu is Big Daddy’s Pizza, Tangerine Chicken w/Rice, Green Beans, Carrots w/Dip, Fruit Choice, and Milk.  


There are only two days left to get your spirit wear orders turned in. Orders will not be accepted after Monday, October 22nd so please get your order turned in to the office so you don’t get left out!


Update on our collection contest: Mrs. Walter’s homeroom has increased their lead to 141 TerraCycle items collected. Mr. Farbizo’s homeroom has collected 23 items to put them in second place and Ms. Tuten’s homeroom is 3rd with 20 items. Ms. Eyster’s homeroom still has a slight lead with $25.50 in box tops but Mrs. Rist’s homeroom is closing in fast with $25.10. Mrs. Lindberg’s homeroom is in the lead with 17 school spirit coupons collected. Mr. Farbizo’s homeroom has collected 3 Tyson A+ labels. Participating homerooms are Allard, Alonso, Baumann, Beard, Eyster, Farbizo, Flynn, Kountz, Lindberg, Nesler, Rist, Rutan, Tuten, Walters and Wheeler. Thursday is the final day of the collection competition for this month.

8th grade Washington DC Countdown Tip #1: Watch the weather when packing! Highs in DC are supposed to be in the 50s with the lows in the 40s. We walk around at night so make sure to bring a warm coat and layers!

Coding club meets tomorrow morning at 8am.


Attention all 8th grade girls interested in playing basketball this Winter. Your LAST open gym is today, Monday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 PM. Please try and attend. This is for 8th grade girls only with Coach Dollins. START TIME IS 7:00 PM.

Ultimate Frisbee Club is happening again today until 5pm in the park. Come check it out!


Attention all Drama Club Members: we will meet today from 4 to 6 for both 7 and 8th grades. We will meet in the cafeteria.  


Today is the last day to turn in Art Club applications.


Does your family use products with box tops for education, Tyson A+ or Aunt Millie’s Bakery school spirit? If so cut the coupons off of the packaging and bring them to your homeroom teacher. We are also collecting empty shampoo, conditioner, lotion, make-up, applesauce pouches, toothpaste tubes and energy/granola bar wrappers to recycle with TerraCycle. Currently Mrs. Rutan’s homeroom is in the lead with 9 TerraCycle items collected and Mr. Allard’s homeroom is in second place with 3 items.  Mrs. Rist’s homeroom is still in the lead with $21.50 in box tops, Mrs. Walter’s homeroom is in 2nd place with $20.80, Ms. Eyster’s homeroom is in 3rd place with $10.60, Mrs. Kountz’s homeroom has collected $7.70 Mrs. Wheeler’s homeroom has collected $5.70 and Mr. Allard’s homeroom hs collected $2.30. The collection contest has one more week.

Art Club is starting. If you are interested in joining Art Club, please get an application in Ms. Eyster’s room. Space is limited so make sure to get your application turned in.


Student council head representatives, we will have our meeting today in the ERC from 4-5pm. If you are not able to attend, please make sure you let your alternate know so he or she can make plans to be there. Also, if you are planning on running for president, vice president or secretary, have your speeches ready to go for this evening’s meeting. Please see Mrs. Diehl or Mrs. Goble with any questions.
